We are striving for Beach Elegance, which is kind of hard to do for a morning reception. We want the ceremony to be laid back and relaxing. The brunch reception at Gannon's will be more formal but comfortable. The table will be set with white linens and a hot pink sheer runner down the middle with orange napkins. Starfish and shells will wind through vases of tropical flowers on top of the runner.
This is how our menu cards will sit. We really wanted to use these fans but wasn't sure how to incorporate them. We had tons of card stock, scrapbook paper, starfish charms and ribbon left so we just had to buy the raffia fans.
I painted this parasol for our pictures after the ceremony. Again using Kon Tiki Enchanted font, I printed each letter in 400 and taped them on the back of the parasol. Then I traced with a pencil and painted each letter with acrylic paint. I just received another H. Pink one and will paint Mahalo on that one. Each parasol cost me $9 w/ship when completed.
This is our "Note to Bride and Groom" card. We are going to put them in the Welcome Bags with a pen! I got the idea from a bride on the WW site, thank you by the way, and then just tweaked it to fit our wedding. I really hope the guests use them. I think it would be fun to see what everyone thought and what their advice is.
We had an extra parasol and some orange paint and Fred suggested putting our names and the date on it for pictures. Again I used the Kon Tiki Enchanted Font. We now have three but I think it will be fun to use and they each cost us less than $8 to make.
